The new retina MacBook Air 2015 will go down in history as the dumbest thing to come out of Apple since that gigantic 3 pound iPad thing I bought back in 1998 - the "Apple Newton!" This will be Apple's first major HUMPTY DUMPTY move. Let's hope it is their last.
I'm angry about this latest iteration of the MacBook Air retina 12 inch and I haven't even seen it. I'm fueled by rumors I've heard from other fanboys and haters all over the internet reviewing this imaginary Air that hopefully never witnesses the light of day.
I get angrier every day I think about it!
Apple appears to be going against common sense with this latest 2015 update to the MacBook Air line if these rumors are true.
Thinner Keyboard - yeah, brilliant. Now when our daughter becomes a girlscout at six years old, she can bring this computer to her den mother's house her little friends with their little fingers can all type on it and squeal about how cute it is.
Clickless Trackpad - yeah, brilliant, dork with the only thing perfect on any of the MacBooks - the trackpad. Take away something your MacBook users love just to save .03mm of depth so you can make the Air thinner.
One Port - Yeah, brilliant Apple. The Airs don't have enough ports to start with, and you're taking those away too. Who in the world is IN CHARGE over there? I want someone's head on a plate!
Retina Screen - this could be the only thing good about the next iteration of MacBook Air 2015.
Let me just say my 2 cents here, if I haven't already made it clear to Apple in the video.
1. We DON'T NEED any computer thinner than the MacBook Air 11-inch. It's thinner than we ever needed already. STOP THE MADNESS!
2. Start making the bottom grippier so we can actually sit the "laptop" in our laps and not have it slip off and hit the floor. I've had to catch a couple 'hail mary' passes when my old 11 inch slipped and was diving for the floor.
3. 11 and 12 inch notebooks are too small. Kids don't have $1,000 to spend on their notebook. We need 13, 14, 15, and even a 17 for those of us that need a lot of screen real estate. There's no reason in the world you can't make a 3 lb. MacBook Air retina 17-inch with 24 hour battery life. Now go and make one so I can spend my money on it!
4. Apple, you haven't done anything revolutionary since the bulbous Apple Newton in the late 1990's. Start doing something amazing with your 170 BILLION dollars, like build a UFO.
